Appeared to be mostly admin (subscription related) or intended for
someone off-list...

Hi Carole,

I am cc'ing Bob on this as he appears to be the intended recipient.

If you are having trouble getting off the list, I can help with that.
The unsubscribe mechanism relies on sending a confirmation email
which could be deleted by a spam filter.

There are digest versions of the list (one email per day, typically).
And the less-science heavy CR Community list:

http://lists.calorierestriction.org/mailman/listinfo

That list has many off-topic threads, so if less email is your
primary concern, then the digest version of the mail list may be
best.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the information. I go by Carole. I bought a book on CR and have begun to "dabble". I seem to get a tremendous
amount of email, mainly about scientific studies etc. Is this the normal email list or did I get on it by accident? It
overwhelms my email. I tried to get off the list but it still keeps coming. I will visit the attached website for more
information. I appreciated your response.
Best Regards,
Carole Carlson

   Hi Joan,

Welcome to CR! Far and away the most science based diet there is. Here
are some personal accounts that members of the CR Society graciously let
   me post on my website:

The accounts include how people got started. After you have tried it
