FWIW, there is an option in the lists to 100% remove the email
address of posters:

"Hide the sender of a message, replacing it with the list address
(Removes From, Sender and Reply-To fields)".

The biggest drawback is that communicating off list becomes
more difficult.  Maybe there could be a separate 100% opt-in,
password protected list where people not averse to off-list
email post their address.  It could even be a premium item
of membership.
