Hi David,
It may help to give this question a little time to stew and repeat
it again if needed. Although one response has come in so far:

The 'getting started guide has some simple and typical substitution
ideas and some further resources:

On the list, as practical, we try to avoid repeated content:

You may have luck searching the archives too. Many people
have published similar info, but spread over time.

Thanks for understanding,

Subject: [CR] Grocery List
I'm new to CR, I subscribed and have been lurking for awhile to get an idea what CR was all about. The scientific literature is
interesting, but for the people practicing CR, I was interested in a few things, I'm hoping this is the correct forum.
1) What is on your Grocery List? I don't imagine you buy a whole lot of food, but I'm interested in what and how much you do
buy when you go to the store. Can you still buy from your standard grocers, like Save a Center or Jewel? Do you need to shop at
a Whole Foods or a health food store for specific grains?
2) Activity. For people who are practitioners of a sport you need to have a certain intake of calories because you burn them
off exercising. When you get down to a sub-1k/day calorie diet, what effects are there on your ability to run around? I talked
about CR once with an athlete friend of mine and he was of the opinion that you might starve to death, but if you didn't you
would be bed-ridden with weakness. I know that isn't true, but where does the truth lie?
3) The difference between CR and anorexia? It occurs to me that an anorexic might use CR as an 'excuse' for starving herself.
And since I'm bringing it up, does CR effect libido?
I hope to hear from you, and thanks in advance!
-Justin
