First: again, I've moved this thread from the main list to Meta, as it's
about List policy, not CR. Conrad, I've cc'ed you specifically in case
you aren't familiar with this List policy (as your posting to the main

As everyone does -- for specific thinks of interest *to them* . Richard
presented a perfectly good solution to the problem of firehosing
everyone with information that they don't want vs many people
individually wanting access to information that they DO:

That is, again, one of the 3 central reasons to turn off the firehose:
